In order to use Mailsmith's SpamSieve integration, you must have both Mailsmith 2.0 or later, and SpamSieve 2.1.3 or later installed. (SpamSieve updates may be downloaded from the C-Command web site, or obtained from the Mailsmith disk image, which includes the most recent version of SpamSieve available when it was produced.)
If you have recently updated to a new version of either Mailsmith and/or SpamSieve, and this option has suddenly become inactive (greyed out), the following steps should serve to correct the problem:
If, instead, both the "Enable Spam Detection" and "Use SpamSieve" options are enabled, but SpamSieve is not being activated to handle incoming messages, please turn off the "Honor SpamAssassin and BogoFilter Headers" preference.
